The pilot and I usually combat this by preserving a whole weekend and scheduling other activities that are more easily movable for a full adventure weekend. The benefit of multi-day elopement coverage means that pending weather we can always schedule another activity if needed and move things around as needed such as a hike, a romantic dinner, kayaking, swimming, wine or beer tasting, etc. Usually within a week the pilot will have a good idea of the likelihood of a flight and within a few days he can make the final call!
